Birkin in “Hote” Clay Planter

The Philodendron 'Birkin' is a relatively new cultivar that evolved from a mutation of the Philodendron Rojo Congo. Its unique white-striped variegation sometimes changes over time, giving plant owners a surprise as the patterns on the leaves can vary as it grows.

Light:

The Birkin thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light levels. Avoid direct sunlight, as it may cause the variegation to fade and scorch the leaves.
Watering:

Allow the top 2-3 cm of soil to dry out between waterings. Water the plant thoroughly, but ensure that excess water can drain out of the clay pot to avoid root rot. During winter, reduce watering as the plant’s growth slows.

The Philodendron 'Birkin' makes an excellent statement piece on a shelf, side table, or windowsill, where it can receive indirect sunlight. Due to its compact size, it also works well on an office desk or living room accent table. The clay pot provides a natural aesthetic that complements modern or rustic interior designs.
