The Peperomia 'Green' (also known as Peperomia obtusifolia) is a compact, vibrant plant with glossy, fleshy leaves splashed with bright yellow and lime green variegation. It is ideal for small indoor spaces and looks charming in a clay pot, which adds a natural aesthetic and helps maintain proper moisture levels in the soil. Peperomias are loved for their easy-care nature, making them perfect for both beginners and seasoned plant lovers alike.

General Facts

Peperomias are often called "radiator plants" because they do well in warm environments and can tolerate some dry indoor air. Interestingly, the Peperomia obtusifolia variety is known to be a great air purifier, removing formaldehyde and other toxins from the air, making your indoor environment fresher and healthier!

Scientific Name

Care Instructions

Light:
Thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate medium light conditions. Keep out of direct sunlight to avoid leaf scorch, which can damage its beautiful variegation.
Watering:
Allow the top 2-3 cm of soil to dry out between waterings. Peperomias store some water in their leaves, so they are relatively drought-tolerant. Water less frequently in the winter. Be mindful of clay pots, as they tend to dry out the soil faster due to their porous nature, so monitor soil moisture closely.

Preferred Spot

Place your Peperomia 'Green' on a shelf, windowsill, or small table where it can receive indirect light. It also works well as a desk plant due to its compact size and low light tolerance.
