Care Instructions

Light:
Bright, indirect light is best, the stronger the light, the more she'll push new leaves.
No direct sun, the velvety leaves scorch easily.
Water:
Keep 2,3 cm of water in the decorative pot at all times, top up every 3,5 days or when it runs low.
Water level should not touch the bottom of the inner pot, the wick handles the rest.
Use filtered or dechlorinated water.
Humidity:
Loves high humidity, bathroom, kitchen, or near a humidifier is ideal.
Keep her away from AC vents and cold drafts.

General Facts

The Frydek is part of a small group of Alocasias with velvety leaves, a texture that evolved to trap moisture in humid jungle environments. Run your finger across a leaf and you'll immediately feel the difference. It's one of the most tactile plants you can own.
