Dark, glossy leaves that start green and fade into deep black, this one’s the moody sibling of the classic ZZ.

Low effort, high drama. He barely needs water, handles low light, and still looks like he belongs in a magazine spread.

The Black ZZ is the plant that thrives on being left alone.

Care Instructions

Watering:
water him only when the soil is completely dry. he stores water in his thick roots, so less is more.
water every 3-6 weeks in summer and even less in winter.

Light:
Thrives in low light but will grow faster with bright, indirect light.

Humidity: Totally fine with average indoor humidity. Warm is better. keep him away from cold drafts.

Note: always empty the plate after watering to keep his roots happy and healthy.

Bonus Tip: Wipe leaves occasionally to let that glossy black shine.

Preferred Spot

Loves low to medium light — perfect for bedrooms, offices, or that moody corner you never know what to do with. Avoid direct sun; it can fade the dark leaves.
