String of pearls: the one with a bit of a reputation

String of pearls: the one with a bit of a reputation

String of Pearls is one of those plants people either love or give up on.
It’s dramatic, sure — but not impossible.

Here’s the thing:
If you give it too little light, it’ll start dying.
If you give it too much water, same story.

But when you get it right — it grows fast, trails beautifully, and doesn’t ask for much.

here’s how to keep it happy:

  • put it in a bright spot
We’re talking next to a window that gets lots of natural light.
Direct morning or late sun? Even better.
Don’t even try it in low light — it won’t make it.

  • don’t water unless it’s bone dry
    This is a succulent.
It wants to dry out completely between waterings.
If the soil still feels even slightly damp — wait.

  • a trick:
When in doubt, skip the water.
Most problems come from watering too soon.
The soil should feel like dust all the way through. (Use the finger test.)
