Find The Right Light For Your Plant

Find The Right Light For Your Plant

Light matters. But let’s keep it simple.

We’re talking about natural light.
Regular light bulbs don’t count — (Unless you’re using special grow lights made for plants.)

Bright Light

The hottest, brightest spot. Gets strong midday sun, think “summer selfie light.”
Cactus and succulents love this. Most leafy houseplants? Not so much — they burn.

Bright, Indirect Light

The sweet spot.
Gentle morning sun. Bright room, but not full sun slapping your plant in the face.
Most houseplants live their best life here.
If you’ve got good daylight, but not harsh beams on your leaves — you’re winning.

Low Light

That dark corner you’re hoping counts as “plant friendly.”
Only a few legends can handle it:
Snake Plant. ZZ Plant. Heartleaf Philodendron.
If your space feels a bit gloomy, stick with these.

Do the Shadow Test

Stand by your plant during the day and check the shadow:

Strong shadows = bright light
Soft shadows = medium light
No shadow = low light

Still confused?
Don’t overthink it.
Every product page tells you exactly what light it needs.
And if you mess up, plants forgive. Most of them, anyway.
